Registration Rules

• Scarecrows must be registered by Sunday, Oct. 1st
• Contestants must be 16 years or older. Younger contestants must register with an adult.
• Placement of scarecrows will be assigned in advance by Medfield TV. Spot locations and number will be shared with applicants on a rolling basis via email through Friday, October 6th.
• Registration for Individual/Family: $25. Business: $35. NPO: $15.
• 6′ x6′ Scarecrow Stakes may be added to your order for an additional $10. You may pick up your stake at Medfield TV (18 N. Meadows Road Medfield ,MA) anytime between 10:00am – 5:00pm on Monday, Sept. 18th through Friday, Sept. 22nd, or at our Medfield Day Booth (16E) on Saturday, September 23rd.
• Payments will be made through an online credit card payment processing website, or may be made with check or cash.
• Running out of time? Something came up? Cancellations made before 11:59pm on Friday, Sept. 22nd will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made after 11:59pm on Friday, Sept 22nd will not receive a refund.
• Late payments will not be accepted after October 9th.

Scarecrow Rules

• Scarecrows must be family friendly and constructed to withstand adverse weather. Scarecrows do not have to be stuffed – be creative. No political signs or political scarecrows allowed.
• Scarecrows will remain on display and MUST be removed on Saturday, October 28th by 12 PM. Scarecrows not removed will be dismantled and destroyed.
• Scarecrows may not exceed a 6’ by 6’ footprint.
• If your scarecrow is attached to a tree, NO ADHESIVE OF ANY TYPE IS ALLOWED. Only use zip ties, bungees cords or rope.
• If your scarecrow is attached to a wooden stake, the stake must be to hammered at least 2 feet into ground
• All scarecrows must be securely assembled.
• You are responsible installing your scarecrow and for maintaining the quality of your scarecrow throughout the display period. Please anticipate a variety of weather conditions when assembling your scarecrow. You may be contacted by Medfield TV with a request to fix damages to your scarecrow. Scarecrows in disrepair will be removed and discarded.
• Contestants are fully responsible for disassembling and removing all contents of their scarecrows. Any scarecrows left after the removal date/time will be discarded
• We reserve the right to refuse any entry that we deem inappropriate. No refund will be given.

Winners will be announced at 2:30 PM and will be posted online at https://www.medfield.tv/scarecrow after judging is complete
